CANBY, MN – August 10, 2011 – Outland Energy Services, an independent services provider in the North American wind industry, announced today that Steve Scott has assumed the role of President & Chief Executive Officer, and Cam Winton has been promoted to Vice President & General Counsel.

Scott was hired as Outland’s first employee in 2005, and since that time has led Outland to many achievements: growing to more than 160 total employees; obtaining the globally-recognized ISO and OHSAS certifications for management of quality, safety, and environmental impact; opening satellite offices in Guymon, Oklahoma and Mendota Heights, Minnesota; becoming an authorized service provider for Hansen and Winergy gear units; and securing long-term services contracts with some of the largest wind asset owners in North America.

Said Dennis Fultz, the chairman of Outland’s board and one of the five Minnesota farmers who founded Outland, “With his steady leadership, relentless drive, and deep knowledge of the wind industry, Steve has helped build a company of which we’re all proud.” Said Scott, “I’m honored to take on the responsibilities of CEO and continue to lead our team.  Our wind turbine technicians and support staff are the best in the business, and I look forward to the company’s continued growth and success.”

Outland also promoted Cam Winton to the position of Vice President & General Counsel. In that role, Winton will lead a wide range of commercial functions by packaging and pricing Outland’s service offerings to meet the unique needs of each asset owner and by ensuring that Outland’s team has a clear understanding of its obligations. Before joining Outland in 2009, Winton represented Fortune 100 companies as an attorney in Minneapolis. He holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, the London School of Economics, and Georgetown University Law Center.

Said Steve Scott, “Cam has been an incredible addition to the team.  His ability to simplify the complex and effectively communicate with customers, technicians, and managers is impressive.  He’s earned this promotion because of the results he’s delivered.  Our entire team looks forward to working with Cam for many years to come.”
